Central processing Units (CPU).

Cpu-floating

The CPU is a component of a computer which is responsible for executing and interpreting the commands from the computer's hardware and the software programs. It is a microchip, attached to the mother board of a computer(Gilman). the CPU, acts like the brain and the mind of a computer. The CPU made up primary components like the Arithmetic Logic Unit( the ALU); which does all the mathematically work in the computer. the ALU solves all the binary and other mathematical problems, then send it to the CPU which feeds the computer with the solution. Another primary component attach to the CPU is the Control Unit ( CU). The Control Unit directs all the Hardwares and the softwares on how to respond to the instructions received from the programs. Since the CPU does all the thinking and feeling for the computer, the ALU and the CU are incorporated into the systems of the CPU to make work on the computer easy and durable for the user.

A CPU works comsistently when the computer is turned on. the first thing it does when the computer is turned on is, it loads data from the ROM then power-on a self test (POST) to ensure that all major components are working correctly.A memory controller checks for errors in all memory chips in the mother board. Next, the basic input/output system (BIOS) is loaded from ROM, to provide information about basic computer functions and enable loading of the operating system. The operating system itself is then loaded from the hard drive into the system's random access memory (RAM). As long as the computer is on, information critical for its operation is maintained in RAM, to provide the CPU with immediate access to the information. When an application is opened, it is loaded into RAM, either all at once, or the information needed to commence operation is loaded followed by the remaining information as needed. As files are opened, they too are loaded into RAM. Finally, when the file is closed, the information is written to the specified storage device and then deleted from RAM( Memory)

the CPU works with the RAM. the RAM stores all the data needed for the Computer to work efficiently. when the computer is turned on, the CPU asks the RAM for already proceeded data. it uses the data to feed the the entire computer and then, it rewrites all the used data back into the RAM after the computer is turned down.
